Frequently Asked Questions

C&M Memorials

Q: Do cemeteries have size restrictions on stones they allow?

A: Yes, most cemeteries restrict the size of stones to help prevent overcrowding.

Q: Do I have to purchase my stone from the funeral home or cemetery?

A: No, per the law, you are able to purchase a stone from a vendor as long as they are in good standing with the cemetery where the stone is being placed.

Q: Does my stone require a concrete foundation?

A: Yes, all cemeteries require a concrete foundation to be poured under the stone to help with stability and long-term aesthetics.

Q: Will your company set a stone that I, as a customer, ordered off the internet?

A: No, in our experience most stones ordered off the internet come with flaws or are not up to the standard which cemeteries require. For this reason, we do not want to do a disservice to the family’s loved ones we serve.

Q: Can you give me a rough estimate of how much this stone will cost?

A: Since there are many things that affect the cost of a stone, we would not be able to price it accurately. For example, the color, size, shape, engraving locations, etchings, porcelain pictures, the current cost of freight, size, and location of the foundation are factors we have to consider. With this being said, we prefer to sit down with each family to get a thorough list of their wants and needs before settling on a price.
